Darlene McCoy, singer, songwriter, author, minister, and radio personality is back and reminding us all why we "fell in love" with her ministry when she was introduced to the industry in 2007. With her uniqueness and class she still is incomparable to any artist in this day. Her self-titled CD debuted back in 2007 rewarding her as a Two-Time Dove Nominee Award for Best Urban Album and Best Urban Single. She landed her hit single Fallen in Love on the soundtrack of Tyler Perry’s first hit movie Diary of a Mad Black Woman. As a leader in her community, she serves as mid-day host on Atlanta's Inspiration Station Praise 102.5 with "The Darlene McCoy Show" which lends even the radio that edgy approach to Christianity and inspiration. She consistently ranks as a trending chart-topper in the market and is gaining attention both nationally and internationally as listeners log on to www.mypraiseatl.com from 10am-3pm EST. After several years of being distant from the industry, the anticipation for new music from Darlene rose tremendously. Her long anticipated single titled “I Shall Live & Not Die” (released May 2011) under RKD Music Management is none other than a world crossover. “It’s a definite classic hit”, says Jazzy Jordan, Vice President of Verity Gospel Music Group. The single was produced by Tommy Sims and currently charted at #19 on Gospel Billboard. Darlene has appeared on Bobby Jones, Season 1 of Mary Mary’s Reality Show on WE-tv and as Guest Actress in the Gospel Play “In Sickness and In Health” which featured on Gospel Music Channel. Her music has been heard on BET’s Sunday’s Best Season 5 and she recently appeared as special guest on Ricky Smiley’s Reality TV Show airing on TV One in the fall of 2012. Darlene recently launched JeniMac Foundation which caters to the empowerment and inspiration of young teenage girls who deal with Teenage Depression, who have been pregnant or are pregnant, who are bullied and who face difficult challenges daily on living their lives in silence. Her contributions to the Atlanta community continue to enhance the lives of youth today. With her new single “Not Guilty” making success for summer and fall of 2012, Darlene is finding ways to expand her ministry by connecting with the people in health, music, family and love. She continues to draw audiences with her charm, charisma and personality.
